On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, residents of the School District of Bayfield will be asked to vote on a proposed $7.7 million facilities improvement referendum to address critical safety, accessibility, and infrastructure needs in our schools.
The question on the ballot will be as follows:
"Shall the School District of Bayfield, Bayfield and Ashland Counties, Wisconsin be authorized to issue pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $7,700,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of a school facility improvement project consisting of: district-wide capital maintenance and building infrastructure improvements, including roof replacement, fire suppression system and HVAC improvements at the Bayfield School building; renovations of LaPointe Elementary School; and acquisition of furnishings, fixtures and equipment?"
